First Day of Vacation-Kayaking Pigeon Creek

Dans vacation started on Thursday so Friday morning after doing a few chores we headed to Grand Haven on a kayaking mission. Dan needed to try out his new kayak and grandma and grandpa had the perfect place. We went to west olive to the pigeon creek. We thought it would be a little trip down a river and back...4 1/2 hours later we were back at the car. The kids had a great time it was a long time to sit in a little boat. They both jumped back-n-forth between all our kayaks. Dan found turtles for all of us, there was a sand hill half way they got to run around...then we hit the bridge with kids jumping. On the way back both kids fell asleep so the last hour of misery they missed. All of our arms were killing us and we were all pooped out and ready for dinner at Grandma's and ice cream downtown. It was a great afternoon and evening.
