Random Weekend

Dan was feeling better and suggested going to a Movie. It was a great Saturday afternoon. The rest of the weekend we just played!

This is the normal view of Sam. hahahhahaa

Appendix!

Dan went to the ER Monday night after the kids went to bed. He had been complaining all day of pain. After some pain meds, a cat scan and a night in the hospital they decided to take out his appendix. So, at 7:00 am he was in surgery. I took the kids to Tonda's and worked. Tonda went up and spent the afternoon with Dan. Picked the kids up from school and Shannon's and headed up to the hospital. Dan was released by 6:00 that evening. The kids couldn't leave him alone. They held his hand out of the hospital and wouldn't stop giving hugs.

Rollerskating

Courtney and I talked Friday that we needed a playdate. Bowling fell through, and sledding was out since the temps where below zero. Rollerskating it was. Courtney, Mike, Camryn and Cole came up. Shannon, Chet, Ali and Troy came too. It was a great time. Tyler got extremely frustrated because of landing on his butt constantly. But overall everyone had a fun.
Wish I would'be taken more pics...

Daddy helped on MLK day!

Coloma had Martin Luther King day off but Paw Paw did not. I had arranged for me to volunteer in Tylers classroom prior to that Monday. Unfortunately, I ended up with strep throat and couldn't go. Dan had already taken a vacation day for that Monday so he went instead. He read books with the kids and helped them get ready for recess. Tyler wanted Daddy to stay all day and to sit by him at lunch. What a great day for Dan....next time it will be my turn.

Its going way to fast

Watching Tyler read to Sam is such a joy. Watching Sam try her recital outfit on makes me smile. This time is going so fast. I got the old scrapbooks out and couldnt even remember when they were that small. Tyler is reading books, Sam knows her ABC's, shapes, numbers. She sings loud and dances constantly. She has to have her lipstick on and is always begging for make-overs. Tyler wants to play the wii, help daddy fix whatever he can get his hands on. He loves to learn and ride fast on the snowmobiles. Tyler is just like his dad, he focuses and does everything with perfection. Sam, is just like me...lets just hope for the best! Life is good at our house right now.

Winter Weekend

Grandma and Grandpa Dingy came down Saturday to go out snowmobiling for the day. Grandma stayed home but the rest of us went out. The kids lasted a couple hours before they had enough. Dropped them off (and Dan)at home and then we (Grandma Tonday, Me and Dad) rode to roadhouse for dinner where they met us. It was a great afternoon/evening.

First Snowmobile Trip of the Winter!

We headed out on the sleds for our first trip out. Sam's first time on the snowmobile and she loved it. Tyler wants to ride with Dan because he just wants to go FAST! We were out about an hour and then rode to Dcoy for dinner. It was so much fun...but boy does it take some work to get us ALL going.

New Years Eve

Grandma and Grandpa Dingy came down to stay the night and bring in the new year with us. Grandma wanted to take the kids ice skating so we went to Wings West and had a BLAST!

Grandpa sat out...which Sam was happy about. She was worried grandpa would fall and break his hip (so funny). Tyler was a speed demon and by the time we left Sam wasn't using the bar. After we went for lunch and headed home. We watched How to train a dragon and snacked. Daddy had to work until 6:30 but then Grandma Tonda came over and we did pizza and chocolate fondue. Then we brought in the New Year watching The Diary of a Wimpy kid. Tyler fell asleep by Sam made it...on the blow up bed!
