Sunshine and sidewalk chalk

Shannon (daycare) had an amazing Easter Egg hunt this afternoon. The sun was shining and the weather was warm..it was perfect. After I got out of school I picked up Tyler ran a few errands and we headed to get Sam. When I pulled up it was crazy. Her driveway had easter eggs drawn and Happy Easter written with sidewalk chalk, there were kids and parent everywhere. It was amazing...she had hundreds and hundreds of eggs spread all over her backyard. Each kid recieved a basket and was let loose to fill it up. Tyler and Sam had a blast! What a great way to start a new week at a new home.

When we arrived home...we did the same to our driveway and had a blast doing it!
Oh, and I can't forget that Sam had pigtails in her hair...I think Sam would do anything Tyne asked!

New Begining!

Everyone is wondering what happened...well here is a summary. Monday Sam started a new daycare and Tyler started going to school everyday, all day. It was a blessing in disguise. Friday we found out that Monday the kids were not going to go to the same daycare that they have been (long story) but fortunately I have great friends who know great people. Sam started going to Shannon who does and in home daycare that is fantastic. Less stress and more flexibility for me...Shannon does awesome activities and has a dynamic energy. Her home is screaming fun...with lots of kids Sams age...and most importantly full of LOVE! I truely feel God has had his hand in watching over my kids during this transition period because it has been nothing but smooth. Although Shannon only had one opening it didn't even matter. Tyler is so excited to go to school everyday, all day. We bought a lunch box and all his favorite lunch foods. He gets to go on the playground twice a day and a few of his friends stay all day too. It doesn't take much to make a 5 year old happy.
Although some thoughts make me sad...this has been a great change. My Sam and Tyler are in good hands!

Easter Eggs

3 dozen eggs seemed like a lot until we were down to the last couple. It might look like a huge mess but it only took 15 minutes to make! Sam was a disaster but she had so much fun just playing with the colors. My hands and hers are stained. I went to work today with pink and blue fingers. Tyler of course wanted the perfect eggs..and worked very hard on achieving that. It was fun...messy...but fun!

Tylers 5 year Portraits

Everyone knows how I stress about pictures but this time was amazing. I wanted Tylers 5 year portraits to capture who he is. My little man...and Melissa did just that and at this point I have only seen these two. We had a great "little peanuts" session yesterday. Her office is downtown kalamazoo and is absolutely warm and inviting. Tyler was excited to have them taken because of his tie and argyle socks. I am so happy and so proud of how handsome he is. Can't wait to see the rest.

Kindegarten Round Up

He is registered and ready to go...with a few screenings this summer he will be off to kindegarten. Boy...is he ready!

First Date

Sam was able to go to Miller at Western for the Nickelodean show with Courtney and Cole. Camy was out of town with her Grandma so there was an extra ticket. Courtney asked if Cole could take Sam on her first date. So, Friday night while Tyler was at Caysee's birthday party Sam and I went and had our nails done. Saturday we took a bath, did her hair and put on some make-up all ready for the bid date. She was absolutely adorable...and beautiful! Unfortunatly, she didn't feel well and fell asleep during the show on Courtney's lap. She remembered enough to gab about it at bedtime!

Sam's new bike

After we finally got Sam to take her bike outside...she loved it. Sam didn't want to bring the "german" bike outside since it has been rode inside since Christmas. She didn't want it dirty. It is so stinkin' cute and after a couple days she was picking up her feet and coasting more and more. She started just walking it...can't wait to see by the end of the summer how she is doing!

He is 5!

What a great party. Tyler had been looking forward to this for weeks and it was worth it. The kids bowled for an hour (which was 15 minutes too long), then headed to the the party room for pizza, cake and presents. After that they got to ride the bumper cars and spend some tokens on games. They all had so much fun. Dan and I enjoyed watching Tyler interact with his friends.

Girls Night

After a rough week, nothing says relaxation like a weekend in Grand Haven. The kids and I headed out after school of Friday. Before we arrived we stopped to get Grandma flowers which Tyler was so excited to give. In the kids rooms there was of course presents Grandma had collected for the past few weeks...pillow pets, new toothbrushes, clothes, and movies. Grandpa made shakes/malts at night after blowing up the bed to sleep in the living room. With a few visits from Uncle Shaun on Saturday...the girls went out to lunch and too the mall. At nap time Tyler and I went a washed and cleaned out the car. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for another fantastic weekend home. We love you!

It was a relaxing Saturday....until it was time to go out!

Laurie, Debbie, Jami and I went to Pints n Quarts for dinner and then to club Envy in Muskegon....we ended up at Kirby after too many drinks and a 1/2 naked girl throwing all our grooves completely off! It was a great night...gabbing, gossiping, laughing, drinking...and drunk facebooking!

Play date

It always seems we go to long in between playdates with the Brown's. Once again the kids had fun and it was nice to sit and laugh at the kids. We had taco bobs, colored on the windows. It was a good night just hangin' out.

The windows still a week later haven't been washed. I love pulling in the driveway and seeing the imaginations of my beautiful children. It brings a smile to my face!
