January is over...oops

I can't believe it is February 1st and I have only blogged twice in the new year. I think with work, going back to school and still trying to be a mom and get some gym time in life has become hectic but boring. We haven't taken many pictures the past few weeks.
Tyler and I did go snowmobiling and that almost turned into a mess. We only went 45 minutes out, but I ended up dumping the sled and having a few men get me out. It is so cute snowmobiling with Tyler b/c he calls the vineyards, toothpicks and he loves to go fast. Unfortunately, that is about all the excitement we have had in this new year.
I only have a few things I would like to accomplish yet this winter, I want to get Tyler to downhill ski and I want to cross country once, since I never have. That has to be a great workout! Other than that we will see what this winter will bring. Hopefully, a few more snowmobile trips and a couple snowmen!

Lets make one thing clear...this is Dan's sled mine wasn't ready yet! Mine is much cuter and matches my coat!

Moms gotta do...

I had the greatest girls night ever! It was exactly what I needed at the exact right time. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have so many great friends all over this crazy world. I have friends for every adventure, frustration, and path that I want to take. I have ears to listen, shoulders to cry on, and feet to kick my booty when needed! Ihave friends at work, school, and play. I am surrounded by the brightest most intelligent women I could imagine.
We hit the Tip-a-Few for dinner Friday night and after talking our little hearts out, telling secrets and sharing stories we then walked (yes walked) in the cold to Rosebud...laughed til we peed and then headed to Kirby...I think these pictures sum it all up.

Girls you are my rock and my inspiration, you make me proud to spell my name W-O-M-A-N! I don't know what I would do without any of you.

Home with no Tyler!

My mom wanted to take tyler for a couple days. New Years day I met them in Allegan and gave them Tyler. Sam and I headed home for some girl time!
It was nice to have time to play with just Sam. There was no fighting over toys!
We got to play dress up, paint toes, and give tatoos!

Of course Tyler had so much fun at Grandma and Grandpa's that he didn't care to come home! They spent the whole time playing legos....why are things always more fun at Grandma and Grandpa's?
Next time Grandma and Grandpa are taking Sam....then what will we do?

Why we were playing dress up...Daddy was playing with his own new toy!

Surfari Joe's

It has been chaos around our house with the holidays and I just wanted a night away. I wanted to say we did something different over my two weeks off. Dan and I decided to head to Watervliet which is only 20 minutes down 94. It has a small indoor waterpark that is connected to a Ramada Inn. We were lucky that the Brown's wanted to join, so they came and spent the evening with us.

It was a bit of a rough night for Sam. She is my sleeper...but she sleeps in her crib and ALONE. Sleeping in a hotel was hard for her. She slept with Dad and Tyler slept with me. Tyler was happy...but Sam was up all night!

Christmas at the Farm

Here it is....the last of the Christmas blogs! Christmas afternoon we went out to the farm to spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa Cow :) This is fun for all of the kids because it is the only Christmas Party that Tyler and Sam have cousins to play with. That also makes it more chaotic then the rest...that is why there seems to be a lack of Christmas Day pictures.
It was another great day....could my children be any more blessed?

I have to explain this picture. Grandpa Cow made all the boys (Tyler, Lucus, and Derrick) a set of lincoln logs...yes, he MADE them lincoln logs. Now that in itself is a great gift, but it gets better, he made them out of the old red wood siding on our house. Now you all know me...I love a sentimental gift, so this tops the cake. Tyler has a set of lincoln logs that grandpa made out of the siding of our first home....does it get any better than that?
