Snowmobile Trip

Mom and Dad showed up at 10:00 and we hit the trails at 10:30. WE gased up and we were off...oh and then Shauns sled wouldn't start :) Can't leave that out...just a little starter issue. Fixed in minutes.
The sun was shining and the kids were excited. It was Mikiala and Tadens first ride EVER. Taden rode with Captain Gary, Tyler with me and Sam with Grandma Tonda. The best part was Tyler started driving a little bit. It won't be long til I am just a passenger on my own sled. We headed towards Decatur (with lots of pit stops) and stopped at Hard Times for french fries and hot chocolate. We arrived back home around 3:30 and just in time for Grandma Dingy to have a valentines day treat...meatballs, cheese and crackers, humus...it was awesome.
That evening Dan and I went to South Haven to meet the gang for dinner. It was another amazing weekend again.

First time on skis

The day couldn't have been any better. We left home around 11:30 and met Mom and Dad at Timberidge at 12:30. The kids both had a semi-private lesson that was amazing. They learned how to snowplow (pizza), go up the toe rope, and slow down at the bottom of the hill. By the time we left we were all on the chair lifts and going down the big hills. Tyler and Sam can't wait to go again.
Having Mom and Dad there was the best. We packed our dinner and hung out in the lodge to get warm. It was nice to have dads help returning ski stuff and helping with the kids.
Best day! We all left with huge smiles on our faces!

Snow day for both Coloma and Paw Paw!

Coutney and the kids came to play. We hit Lawton High Schools hill and even brought Charlie. Mike and Haley showed up with the boys.

On the way home for some hot chocolate!
Perfect Snow day....besides Courtney locking her keys in the car. Mike getting into an accident and our furnace going out!

Shaun, Mikiala and Taden came to visit and play at the property. It was an awesome day to walk and have a little fire. Charlie played, found a toy and made friends with the neighbors beagle.

Sam was exhausted!

Sledding

After a day home alone. Tyler back to school and Sam at Shannon's I thought we all could use some fun before the snow disappeared. Its the first week in January and there isn't much of it yet anyway. So, the kids, dog and I went to Lawton High School. It was fun. The kids got along, the both lugged there sleds up by themselves and I ran the dog.

Quiet New Years Eve

New Years Eve Dan and I woke to a quiet house. With the kids still at grandma and grandpa's we were able to sleep in despite having a new dog in the house. We had an afternoon date planned with Chet and Shannon then the kids were to arrive home around 3:00 and not a minute too early in my book! I missed them like crazy.
The Vandenbergs, Dan and I went to Maritini's for lunch and lots of laughs. I was anxious for the kids to get home and see our suprise. Besides the dog really needed a name.
They were so happy to see the dog and not to surprised...oh well. We did go through a bunch of ideas for her name until we came up with the idea of thinking of TV shows the kids watch, Wizards of Waverly Place, Phineaa and Ferb, Wild Kratts...then Sam did it....Good Luck Charlie. I immediately LOVED it....Charlie it is!
Grandma Tonda came over and we all had dinner. After dinner when everyone went home we broke out Tylers new game. It was a blast! Sam fell asleep in my lap during the second game. We crawled into bed to watch the ball drop at 11:45 and at 11:58 Tyler was out!
ALMOST!
