Sam's Valentines

Of course Sams tradition....homemade valentines.  She works so hard on her crafts.  Her box is the cutest owl ever.

Basketball

Well our 6th grade boys went undefeated AGAIN.  4 years of basketball with 2 losses is quite the record.  However, it was time to move on.  Next year is try-outs and we will see where the boys end up.  They have been together a long time.

All is OK in the pasture

We didn't know how things would go that first week after Rebecca was gone.  Reba didn't know life without mom.  The adjustment period was nothing.  I think Saffi was the most upset that evening, while the rest just went on.  The sun came out the weekend after and the girls actually ran around kicking and playing.  It helped my heart heal from the loss.

Goodbye Rebecca

Going out to the barn and finding Rebecca laying down unable to get up was just awful.  This led to 2 days of emotions that I didn't see coming.  We knew she was old, we knew she had a tough life, but we thought we would have more time with her.  However, with the weather and her pain the time had come.  It was absolutely heart breaking and awful.  These girls bring me so much joy.  They are my therapy on bad days.  Letting her go was sad.  Kids said goodbye and the vet came to the house.  She felt no pain.  We loved her so much!
