MSU night at Comerica Park

Back Deck

I'm sad....to long

I haven't posted so much.  Between the entire month of August and the begining of school I have missed so many memories to blog.  Coast Guard, tigers games, building of our back deck and not to mention first days of school.

Tyler has started middle school and he likes it.  He has also been playing football.  This is his last year in Rocket which also means he gets a lot of play time.

Sam has been cheering for football games.  She has also started girl scouts AGAIN and horseback riding hasn't wrapped up for the year.  So I have one very busy little girl.  Funny how this is the girl who wasn't involved in anything....now she is spread quite thin.  Basketball for her starts this week too.  Something might have to give!

Our back deck looks amazing.  Dan took a week off of work and Jim helped.  They got it done in a week!  Just in time for the first Houston bash!

I can't forget that Sunshine had 2 babies...so we have two baby chics running around the yard.  (named Garp and Di).  They will go into the freezer late November.

Pigs are HUGE and GROSS and STINKY!  They will be butchered in the next 3 weeks.

My classes at school are going well.  First time teaching 6th graders and then to add that I haven't taught health in 5 years.  Its quite the transition.

I am going to try and add pictures soon...they will probably be random.

downtown, Duck boats and go carts

This vacation was one of our bests.  Although we packed up in the rain and the drive took a few hours longer then expected, we got there.  We had a beautiful site right along the Wisconsin River.  We dropped our kayaks in the river and played.  The kids got to fish, although we caught nothing.  Sam was excited to ride her new bike.  tyler was the go-kart KING...and watch out because the kid meant business.
We played tourist one afternoon and did the duck tour and go-karts along with a little shopping.

fishing on the Wisconsin River

Absolutely beautiful.  Athough the kids didn't catch anything it didn't stop them from trying everyday.

Wisconsin Dells: Mt. Olympus

We visited Mt. Olympus years ago.  Oh, how the kids have grown.  It was a perfect day.  Sam even went on everything.  The favorite is still the huge tidal wave pool!
