Blood moon
Lots are getting accomplished before Dan leaves for his trips. We have the lean to ready for winter with more room and hay.
Tyler was so excited about the blood moon. He is studying planets in science and its all he talks about. So, he stay up late and watched the eclipse and the moon turn red. Thank you to mother nature for clearing the clouds just in time.

REBA our new baby girl
So much to write about....and I'm so far behind. In may Becky and Morgan rescued 19 donkey from down in the flood area's of Indiana. It was an absolutely terrible, sad situation. Out of all the donkeys Rebecaa and Reba were a sad case. Rebecca is 22 years old and had Reba during the floods. Reba had to stand in 3 feet of water the first 4 days of her life while mom stood watch over her. After a few months on love at Hawkwinds we got the opportunity to adopt her. Although at some point Rebecca will go live the rest of her years somewhere else....we will love her baby forever. They both have fit into our chaos perfectly. Reba is a sassy thing...and it took Saffi awhile to adjust...but its perfect
Grandma T
we had been waiting all summer for these two weeks. Grandma came to stay with us. The first week back to school for me is always tough and the week after is even worse. All of us trying to get back to a routine and early mornings. Grandma came to help. BUT besides bringing the kids to school and picking them up we also got to play. All 5 of us needed a weekend up north. Grandmas first kayaking trip down the pigeon river (which was quite an eventful, face paced, trip) and the weather was so nice we actually relaxed by pickerel lake. It was the perfect trip...and the truck actually held out on us with just a little scare. No elk sighting...but maybe next time. We did get to have a fire and the kids sang us songs and told camp storys...it was an absolute blast!!
