Mejier Gardens Butterfly exhibit!

The sun was shining and I was sick of being in the house! Samantha, Grandma Tonda and I went to Grand Rapids to see the butterflies. Tyler had a playdate/sleepover at Colby's. I dropped him off at 1:00 and then it was just us girls. Dan had to work.
It was a great afternoon. Sam decided 1/2 way through she was going to be scared of the butterflies landing on her but we kept going. For the record it wasn't because of anything I did!
After the exhibit we went out to dinner in kalamazoo and then home to see daddy. A great girls day.











Tyler didn't make it all night at his sleep over. I got a phone call at 11:00 and went to pick him up.

Gotta love that playground talk! It doesn't rhyme very well....but it made me turn my head awfully fast!

Tylers "Family" Birthday

Sunday at 3:00 was the family party. Grandma and Grandpa Dingy has Sam since Thursday so I was anxious for the party and to get my Samerella home. That was a long time to not have her energy in this house. Grandma Tonda kept Tyler Saturday night so I woke up to an empty house that morning. Saturday night was my US weekly draft in Grand Rapids. Dan worked Sunday morning so I woke up cleaned the house and went to church. It was nice.
Then we got to party.
Tyler,
You have so many people that love you. And we are all so blessed to have you love us. This past year has gone so fast. You are becoming a boy. You are reading, making friends and we just signed you up for baseball. You still have such a desire to learn and soak everything in. Your testing us a bit and we are all getting frustrated but we will make it through. You are a loving, caring, tough boy and if you want to test I understand. However, Mom and Dad WILL win!

Tylers "Friends" Party

Tyler wanted to have a couple boys over for this birthday party. This was after we told him he could have it at bounceland, climb kalamazoo, rollerworld. But he wanted a play date at home. Of course it was going to be Remi and Colby. Those boys are inseperable! They are part of the "awesome" club. It was a transformer theme....and they did legos, a pinata, and the jumper! They had so much fun. Tyler was a happy happy soon-to-be six year old.

Tylers Sick Days

What a long weekend. Tyler got a fever on Thursday evening. Dan and I went to dinner while Tonda watched the kids. By the time we picked him up he was getting a little warm, by the time we went to bed he was miserable. He was complaining of a headache and was burning up. I lined up a sub and took Friday off. The three of us never got out of our pajama's until Sunday! Sunday evening Grandma and Grandpa Dingy met us in Allegan and took Tyler back to Grand Haven for the night. Tyler needed one more day home to recover but Dan and I couldn't take another day off. So, Grandpa came to the rescue and Tyler couldn't have been more excited.

There was a lot of fort building and playing the DS all weekend.

Can't forget the air soft guns....that was fun!



Sam fell asleep Saturday night right on the living room floor.
